Like thousands of students each year why not get paid to ski ! You can take part in seasonal work in ski resorts which means you don’t need to take a gap year to have this awesome experience. If you’ve ever wanted to ski but never tried then in your extra time you’ll be able to ski with new friends that have heaps of experience and will happily show you a thing or two. With so many positions to fill such as lift operators and desk clerks, ski resorts are always hiring young people from all over the world which means you’ll definitely be in the running of getting your dream position. Popular spots for seasonal work include the French Alps, New Zealand and a lot of the North American resorts. There are a range of amazing places to choose to spend your season, but remember to apply early for positions as they do fill up fast and you’ll want to have something sorted long before the season starts.
Review hotels
If you’re an explorer then you will love hotel hopping. Stay in the weird and the wonderful and write your own personal review and get paid for it. If you’re backpacking or taking a gap year travelling then this is the job for you; as you’ll be able to write in your spare time whilst giving your honest opinions for other travellers to see.
Volunteer to Speak English
If you speak English fluently then you’ll be able to sign up for a work exchange program which requires you to have conversations with students in English who want to improve their language skills. If you’re very religious or looking to find yourself then you can try joining the missionary. It must be said that missionary work can be challenging as you will be engaging with people from all different walks of life and fundraising in a country you may not know a lot about. However being a missionary can be fulfilling and allows you to gain the necessary skills that you can take onto employment.
Become a Travel Writer
If you love writing then why not become a travel writer. Not only will you be going to a range of countries but you’ll be able to get your experiences to other budding travelers.
