The countdown to summer is officially on, its time to figure out where you would like to travel and who you’ll like to see. If you’re not too sure exactly, don’t worry because we’ve got you covered with the top festivals you need to be considering. 

Glastonbury – UK

Glastonbury is one of the largest Greenland music festivals and has for many many years showcased some of the biggest acts. Situated in Somerset, Glastonbury offers a line-up ranging from pop to rock, reggae, folk, metal and techno. Glastonbury Festival is a five-day festival inspired by the ethos of the hippie, counterculture and free festival movements, the festival retains vestiges of these traditions, such as the Green Fields area, which includes sections known as the Green Futures and Healing Fields. Everyone should try and do Glasto once in their lives, will this year be yours?

Exit – Serbia

Exit is an award-winning summer music festival. It is held annually at the Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad (Serbia), which is considered by many as one of the best festival venues in the world. The Exit festival started as a student movement fighting for peace and democracy in Serbia and the Balkans. Today the same ethos is found the Exit festival run a non-profit which has a strong social mission to help the youth in the Balkans.

Strawberries & Creem – UK

Strawberries and Creem focus on hip-hop, drum ‘n’ bass, house, disco and grime – a broad range of music encompassing both the emergent and the established. This year, there will be 40 acts split between 3 separate stages (not to be missed). Strawberries & Creem, has announced its headliners for 2017 festival, the legendary ‘It Wasn’t Me’ reggae artist Shaggy and our very own UK grime sensation Wiley as the acts topping the bill. The all-day festival at Haggis Farm in Cambridge on Saturday 17th June is doubling in size to 5,000 capacity to mark its fourth year running. With a young founding team including both university students and recent graduates, Strawberries & Creem festival aims to bring contemporary music to the city, juxtaposing the traditionally more refined atmosphere of Cambridge.

Tomorrowland – Belgium

If you’re a lover of Belguim then you need to hold down to Tomorrowland. This is Belguim’s largest electronic music festival. The festival started in 2005 and takes place in the town of Boom, Belgium. It has since become one of the most notable global music festivals. Visually stunning this venue is definitely one to see, so why don’t you grab your friends together and head down for some fun.
