What are the main Bali airports, and how do I get from them to central Bali?
The only international airport in Bali is Ngurah Rai International Airport. You’ll usually see it referred to when searching for flights as simply the Denpasar airport. The capital city, Denpasar, is about a 30-minute drive away. However, you may also want to spend some time in Kuta, just 15 minutes from the airport and well-known for its surfing and nightlife. Either way, the easiest way to get around is to take a taxi from the airport or rent a car.

When is the best time to fly to Bali?
Overall, the best time to visit Bali is during their shoulder season: between April-May or September-October. These months have a balance of fair weather (not too rainy!), lower prices and less tourists. Dry season, from April to October, has generally good weather, but you’ll find higher prices and more crowds during peak months of June through August.
Also keep in mind that Christmas and New Year are very popular times to visit Bali as well, so you’ll see higher prices and more crowds during the winter holidays as well.
