The Most Instagram Worthy Destinations You Must See

Instagram is making it easier to travel the world and although some may blame Instagram for creating a movement in food photography, it has allowed us to see sights beyond our imagination. Here at StudentUniverse, we are always looking out for the best places to visits and our Instagram page celebrates some of the extraordinary places the world has to offer.

Sua Ocean Trench, Samoa

The Sua Ocean Trench, (translated as “large swimming hole”) is a swimming spot located in Lotofaga village, on the south coast of Upolu island in Samoa. Orginating from a time when volcanoes erupted and covered the nearby shores with lava. The ground collapsed, leaving behind a 30 meters deep hole which connects with the ocean through underground canals.

Kayaking in Kamchatka, Russia

Kamchatka is one of the few places on earth not accessible by road. Home to 30 active volcanoes, the Geyser valley (6km of geysers and hot springs, only reached by helicopter) and the Starichkova Island Nature Reserve, there is no better place to explore. Get dropped off by helicopter at the foot of a volcano, cross the Siberian taiga where you will see no roads or people, kayak down to the Bering sea past bears, dolphins, killer whales and sea lions. Lined with over  a thousand cherry blossoms you can find Sakura tunnels all over Japan. Seen as a symbol of love you will also see cherry blossoms in any Japanese rom-com. Sit under one and find your true love.

Capilano Suspension Bridge, Vancouver, Canada

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is situated over the Capilano River in the District of North Vancouver and is over 140 metres (460ft) long and 70 metres (230ft) above the river. With over 800,000 visitors a year and the world’s largest christmas tree this is one place you need to visit if you want to be in a christmas spirit all year round.

Glarus, Switzerland

Originating in the 9th-13th BC, Glarus is seen to as one of the first cities in Switzerland. So whether you’re visiting Glarus for a week, a day or just pedalling through, you’ll find beauty in the magnificent hills of Green County. Nikko, Japan

Situated in the mountains; Nikko is is a popular tourist attraction for both locals and international travellers. With a variety of shrines , temples and parks, Nikko makes for the all important Instagram picture.

Green Lake, Austria 

Every Spring this incredible park disappears under water. During summer the snow melts which causes the lake to flood and submerge everything around it. With twelve metres of water covering trees, footpaths and bridges you feel like you’re swimming in an underwater world. This is an ultimate experience and a definite Instagram worthy picture. So get your friends together and head over to Austria.

Exuma, Bahamas

Exuma consists of 360 islands and is the largest city in the district of George town. With sapphire-blue water everywhere you can expect nothing but luxury in the dream destination. If you’re looking for paradise then you need to head over to Exuma. Famous for their underwater caves, and swimming pigs why not go exploring and have an adventure of a lifetime. The Exuma is a truly ultimate escape.
